Dumb and Dumber IN COLOR!

My Dumb and Dumber comic strip has now been enhanced with COLOR! I may make a few more corrections and possibly add shadows and lighting to it, but I wanted to post this step in the process.

In other news I have revamped my WEBSITE. I cleaned out and shrunk my portfolio down to 12 images related to my illustration style. I'm thinking about starting a flickr or some other secondary portfolio to house everything I've done, but I wanted the official site to be condensed down to the important stuff. I also made an artists resume to replace my press section. I still need to write a biography and artists statement since the site right now has no explanation as to who I am or what I do, but its got pretty pictures so I'll go from there.

My recent assignment for Graphic Novel Class was to make a one page comic illustrating the woman described in the above poem walking into a grocery store. I still have a little more work to do so I may repost a more finished version further down the road but its pretty close so I thought I would share.

Wheres the Remote?

Heres a short comic I drew today about the laziness of being drunk and not being able to find the remote so you just sit there and watch the spanish channel drunk.

Julian Assange

Here is my first piece from Senior Studio. It may go through a few more corrections but its pretty close to being done. It is Julian Assange of Wikileaks. I thought the guy looks strait out of a James Bond flick and deserved a nice portrait. My focus in senior studio is going to be on Editorial Portraits, probably important figures from current events, although I will also veer off track occasionally to do some other projects.

Biggie

Last Year Jim Burke challenged everyone in the illustration department to paint portraits of the freshmen. I did the one of Biggie and while I finished it last year, it has been in hiding every since. So here it is.

The Pink Door

I found this drawing I did from last year for the NHIA Minumental Show. I didn't end up using it but it still looks pretty cool and is worth a post.

Vegetables and Tools

My big painting from the summer. Vegetables and Tools.

Dumb and Dumber Comic Strip

After a long delay in the blog because of summer I'm restarting it up again with my first project from my graphic novel course. The comicization of Dumb and Dumber. 16 panels of awesome. Alec Longstreth came to my school today and did a talk as well. Got me motivated to start this up again. Hopefully it will be a near daily post.
